How It Works

Trading in Pop Futures is a totally new product and concept.

Pop Futures literally means "future popularity". Trading in Pop Futures has two main components:

• Pop Future Cards. Credit card sized and configured, Pop Future Cards are limited edition collectible cards that can be collected or traded.

• Pop Future Units. Each Pop Futures Card comes with 10 Pop Future Units "attached" to it. Pop Future Units are intended to be virtual measures of the future popularity of the person, place or thing associated with that specific card. (See Terms of Use for further information.)

  Pop Future Units may be detached from the card by the owner of the card and deposited in an electronic account on the Star Exchange. The owner may then sell their Pop Future Units through an on-line auction.

  The value of the Pop Futures Unit for the individual person/place/thing will rise and fall depending upon the buying and selling activity of others participating in the on-line auctions.

  For example, if we sell 20,000 Pop Future Cards for the Mountain Gorilla and each card comes with 10 Pop Future Units, this translates into a total of 200,000 Mountain Gorilla Pop Future Units that can possibly be sold by their owners. Each Pop Future Unit is initially valued at $0.00 and will change purely on the basis of buying and selling activity on the Star Exchange electronic auction.

  Initially Pop Future Units can only be sold by the registered owner. However, anyone who registers on PopFutures.com will be able to participate in the on-line auctions (buying at first and later selling their Pop Future Units, if they so desire).

An Example:

• Purchase a Mountain Gorilla - Pop Futures Card for $10.00.
• Detach the ten Pop Future Units from the card and deposit them with the Star Exchange.
• Decide to auction off the Pop Future Units for the Mountain Gorilla when the average trading price per Pop Future Unit for the Mountain Gorilla on the electronic auction site reaches $2.50.
• Place ten Pop Future Units up for auction and secure a winning bid of $25. After fees of $.75 are paid, net $24.25 or $14.25 in profit.
• All of this occurs while still retaining ownership of the Mountain Gorilla - Pop Futures Card.

Bottom Line:

Collectors now have the option of keeping their beloved collectible card while at the same time selling their virtual Pop Future Units and potentially profiting from the increasing popularity of the person, place or thing pictured on the card.
